Packing for a Trinidad and Tobago vacation is similar to packing for any other tropical destination, bringing protection from the sun and heat is key, but you also need to be prepared for the unexpected; play and party.
In T&T, swimsuits, sunscreen, and flip flops are required, after all you are heading to tropical paradise. Bring at least two swimsuits, so you can swap one out when the other is wet and trunks for the guys. Add a few pairs of casual shorts, skirts, T-shirts, sun glasses and swim cover-ups, and your outdoor wear is set.
You can get away with bringing fewer clothes if you plan a wardrobe that coordinates well with everything else. This capsule wardrobe concept allows you to create many looks out of just a few key pieces of clothing. Pick tops in complementary colors, and match them with coordinating bottoms.
Regardless of the season, Trinidad and Tobago offers a wealth of outdoor activity options for every type of traveler, for instance waterfall, hikes and zip lining. Hence, a good pair of all-terrain shoes is essential in your travel pack.
In some instances, several places may require an outfit other than flip flops so it's important to bring along at least one outfit that is considered to be "dressy." For men, a collared shirt with slacks and a pair of loafers may be enough.
Be sure to pack a camera in your carry-on or checked luggage, for all those Kodak and selfie moments.
