The Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust is an inland, freshwater habitat encompassing approximately 32 hectares and 2 lakes, involded in the breeding and re-introduction of locally endangered waterfowl species and other wetland birds into the wild .
The Wildfowl thrust was founded in 1966. It is a national, not-for-profit environmental organization dedicated to environmental education, public awareness and research. It has been described as an amazing eco attraction, uniquely situated within a major petro-chemical and oil-refining complex, making it the only one in the world.
