San Antonio Green Market

Nestled in the hills of the Northern Range, the San Antonio Green Market, located in Santa Cruz, is making its name as the first fully organic farmer's market and sustainable food initiative in Trinidad & Tobago. The ambiance of the man-made wooden huts, perfectly landscaped grass walkways, stone benches, fruit and vegetables of every description coupled with farmers, craftsmen and small artisans coming together to create an environment that can be described as an organic eater's dream. From the onset, the aroma of cocoa tea fills the atmosphere, as you peruse the market you will find a wide range of produce such as basil, mint plants, large pumpkins, hydroponic lettuce, ground provisions, tarragon, fresh coconut bake and even all natural shea butter. They also have weekly events featuring different crops.

The San Antonio Green market is still conserdered to be quite young as it was officially opened in Novenber 2012. As the first organic green market in the country, it's labelled as the Saturday morning meeting place for farmers, agro processors, health chefs, organic shoppers, jewellers and artisans. .
