Description

This beach is called Saline Bay but is known to most as Sally Bay. It is located on the northeastern outskirts of Salybia, near Brigand Hill Lighthouse, which puts it on the North East edge of Trinidad. To access this beach you have to take a side road off the Toco Main Road, unto a dirt road which takes you to a dirt parking area on the right hand side, just before the beach.

The anchorage at this bay is less crowded than the neighboring beaches but it can get crowded at times with the cruise ship passengers during high season. It is often said that Saline Bay is the ideal spot for escaping the hustle of Trinidad's urban areas.

Saline Bay is fitted with white and tan fluffy sand, which makes it irresistible to sink your feet into. The water there is blue-green and sand where the waves meet the shore appears tan colored but the further out you go the clearer the water gets.

At this bay you have amenities such as a concession stand, with a variety of vendors who sell local dishes, there are also picnic tables so walking with your own meals is an option and then there are the washroom facilities outfitted with showers so you can rinse off the sand from your skin before leaving the location.
